AUDIOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

Free 15 Minute screening

This short test will identify if you have a hearing loss that needs further investigation.

90 Minute Full Audiological Assessment

If we find hearing loss, we will then do a full 90 minute hearing test. This is the most thorough hearing evaluation within the industry, undertaken by one of our hearing care professionals, from this assessment we will have all the information we require to make an accurate diagnostic

Micro-Suction Ear Wax Removal

Schedule an appointment with our Ear Nurse at our easily accessible site in Papatoetoe.

This safe and effective procedure involves the gentle removal of ear wax and other debris from the ear canal using micro-suction. To minimise pain and for ease of removal it is strongly advisable to use oil (any cooking oil) prior to the appointment.

We also recommend a 6 month follow up and a hearing re-test every two years

We will proactively reach out to see how you are going with your hearing aids in 6 months’ time. If you require any assistance or adjustments we can organise a consultation with one of our hearing care professionals.
We will also proactively contact you at least every 2 years for a reassessment. We know that over time our hearing changes and we might not notice so we highly recommend this service.

How can I be sure I get value for money?

We’ve been fitting hearing aids for over 20 years and we have relationships with all the manufacturers. We ensure you have the right hearings aids for your needs and budget.

What happens if they stop working?

If the Hearing Aids stop working you need to call us and we will run through some troubleshooting over the phone. If the aids are still not functioning then we would get you to bring them in, often the fault can be fixed in the clinic.

What happens if they get lost or damaged because they are small and fiddly?

You are advised to insure the Hearing Aids for their replacement value under a Home Contents Insurance policy.

How long does it take for you to adjust to a hearing aid?

Some people will adjust to new Hearing Aids in a couple of weeks but it can take up to several months for others.

What are the Benefits in Paying More for a Hearing Aid?

More expensive technology will give you better features and the ability to hear in more dynamic social environments.

Will the Hearing Aid be noticeable to Others?

Some Hearing Aids are more cosmetically appealing than others. The Audiologist will discuss style options with you that will be suitable for your Hearing loss.
